![]() So, we unfortunately have to do this in the hard way. Blender has an FBX Importer but the problem is… it’s not the best one and the best modification of this importer is out there for 25$. Now do pay great attention to this step because this is where things can get a bit rough. You may name it with what you desire but its best to name it according to the name the assets use to keep the exporter mesh close to the textures (Gronckle -> Gronckle_ColorMask, ect)ĥ. ![]() Then, click on “Model” -> “Export selected objects (merged)“ Click on the “+”, then “PfDW” (the FS is the Flight School/Club model) and select ONLY THE MAIN ROOT AND THE MESH. When you select the folder, you should see this:Ĥ. The folders that contain the Dragon Meshes and the Color Mask are located in “dwdo“, for example, you want to export the Gronckle model, you type “dwgronckledo“ - be careful as some dragons like the Monstrous Nightmare go by “dw nightmaredo“ as opposed to “dwmonstrousnightmaredo” - there’s another folder that also had those model but we’ll get to that soon. Open AssetStudios, click on File -> Load Folder, copy the Cache’s folder location into the Open Folder menu that pops up.ģ. Locate SoD’s cache files by doing Win+R %appdata% (will likely take you to AppData/Roaming, back to AppData instead) and search for JumpStart, you’ll likely find a folder like this:Ģ. How to get the Color Mask to work properly will be written in a different post.ġ. Blender (which is a free-to-use, easy to learn 3D modeling program) - Download from the official website.AssetStudio (which is basically a Unity asset viewer) - Download from the Release link. So, I instead will write a step-by-step on how to export the SoD models into Blender. After someone asking if there’s a tutorial for this, I decided to make my own, unfortunately I can’t make it in Video format because my laptop glitches the audio to extraordinary levels, making it impossible to listen to.
